Conference overview:

This event has established itself as the leading forum for the key players in the life assurance sector to come together to debate future challenges and opportunities. Now is a critical time as the industry looks to develop profitable strategies before the 2012 implementation deadlines for the RDR and Solvency II. The operating for environment for life assurers is undergoing significant change and innovation will be important in order to keep pace with competitors, as will investment in engaging customers effectively as the RDR changes the balance of the relationship between consumer, adviser and provider. There are also new opportunities in the corporate pensions space and the post retirement market for life assurers to capitalise on. However, the industry must look to strip out unnecessary costs and become more efficient in order to remain profitable in a challenging economic environment. This conference will bring together senior industry speakers and delegates to discuss these issues and to debate how the industry can move forward.

For the second year, the conference will include a focused day on flexible retirement solutions. The at and post retirement markets will be critical areas of innovation and growth for product providers as the baby boomers reach retirement age. Flexible Retirement Solutions will address developments in products, distribution, financial planning and policy in order to present a strategic view of how this market is developing.
