The Future of the Carbon Market - Overview

Many thanks for attending the IEA and Marketforce's 2nd Carbon Market conference. We hope that you found the event valuable and that it has provided food for thought. Over the two days representatives from a wide range of organisations & countries provided insights into some of the major challenges facing the development of the market. Various key themes & important messages emerged throughout the conference, with particular reference to carbon leakage, the role of CCS in the future, the importance of flexible mechanisms and the uncertainty around not only the cost of carbon but also the cost of debt and the way in which the state of the global economy is affecting the market. This section of the website provides exclusive access to the conference presentations, which may be found by following the links on the left.

Work will soon begin on next year's conference. If you would like to ensure that your views and interests are represented or if you are interested in speaking at this event, please get in touch with Rachel on rstark@marketforce.eu.com.
