This year's European Postal Services conference took place against a backdrop of the worst economic downturn in recent memory but the mood was defiant as discussions focused on strategies to ensure ongoing success. Over 200 postal professionals came together in Amsterdam to listen to more than 50 of the industry's most senior figures and take advantage of the ample networking opportunities.
It became clear that in these testing times, the need to reduce operating costs and ensure efficiency are more urgent than ever. Posts are looking to the future by embracing the age of the internet and diversifying activities, whilst ensuring that customers remain at the heart of operations. Moving forward, sustainable growth and respect for the environment will be key to the success of all postal organisations.
We look forward to seeing you next year for the 2010 conference!
