The Future of European Rail - Overview

Over two enjoyable days in Vienna, the European rail industry gathered together to discuss how the industry could maximise the opportunities generated by a favourable political climate and renewed public interest. High speed rail, the liberalisation process and intermodal cooperation were all examined by expert speakers whilst other contributors considered some important challenges facing the sector; recession, interoperability and capacity shortages.

The ASI & Marketforce's 14th Annual The Future of European Rail was a valuable opportunity to consider how the continent's passenger and freight markets are developing and what strategies will give the industry the best chance of success.
