Nuclear Industry Forum - Overview

As nuclear renaissance in the UK looks destined for realisation, developments in planning and siting, along with the ongoing Generic Design Assessment process, are of crucial concern for the industry. Under the pressure of a looming generation gap, supply chain and specialist skills must also be in place to allow timely delivery of any new build programme. In addition, finalising a solution for the long-term disposal of waste remains a priority, and further progress towards the implementation of a deep geological repository is key to securing the future of nuclear in the UK. An excellent line-up of speakers provided delegates with a host of valuable insights into these challenges, and much food for thought.

This conference has gone from strength to strength and the success of this year's event has further consolidated its reputation for bringing together the key figures and senior-level decision-makers from the nuclear industry , providing an excellent platform to debate and discuss the challenges ahead. We look forward to seeing you all again at our Nuclear New Build Forum in November - designed to provide an opportunity for an interim market update, addressing key emerging developments at this time of great flux.
