Who are they?
Cavendish Asset Management is a small, niche asset management company which manages around £300 million of funds. The company is owned by the Lewis Trust and was originally founded to manage the Lewis family's money.
What was the problem?
In 2000, Cavendish approached Marketforce to help market itself to high net worth private investors and financial institutions.
How did we help?
Marketforce has worked on a press campaign, positioning Paul Mumford (Senior Fund Manager of Cavendish Asset Management and manager of the successful 'Opportunities Fund'), as a leading stock picker, through feature articles on specific stocks and sectors in the trade press and a relationship-building programme with journalists.
The press campaign has been complemented by a direct mail campaign, including producing a regular newsletter, targeted at Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), using our in-house marketing and telesales resource. We also help with the sub-editing of brochures.
What does this mean?
Marketforce has substantially increased media awareness of Cavendish which has regularly featured in the money pages of national publications such as The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph and The Times. Coverage has also appeared in quality trade publications, Investment Week, Money Marketing, Financial Adviser and personal finance titles, Money Observer and What Investment. We have also helped Paul Mumford become a known and respected source to whom journalists now turn.
