Beyond media relations
Who are they?
We were appointed as the secretariat and marketing agency for The Voucher Association, the trade body representing UK voucher providers. The brief was to increase the profile of vouchers as a corporate incentive and motivation tool. This was via media relations; managing exhibitions and other events; lobbying on behalf of the industry and ensuring value-for-money for members and increasing the association's membership.
How did we help?
With such a broad remit, Marketforce combined many areas of its marketing expertise to deliver a quality service for this client. We lobbied the HM Customs & Excise regarding a change of law to the treatment of VAT on face-value vouchers. Through our events experience, we managed The Voucher Association's presence at key industry exhibitions as well as running their own 'New Technologies in the Voucher Market' conference.
Additionally, we have worked to enhance the media profile of the Association through the body's industry research and placement of by-lined features in incentive, motivation and human resources titles. We also helped redesign and up-date the Association's web site.
What does this mean?
The Voucher Association membership has increased by 65% since Marketforce was appointed, largely on the back on profile raising events. In the latest survey of members, 100% said that The Voucher Association provided value for money.
Press coverage has increased by 400%, with regular appearance in the marketing trade media as well as national coverage.
