Managing Director

David Saunders is a graduate in law from the University of Durham and was called to the Bar at Lincoln's Inn. He founded Marketforce in 1988. David developed Marketforce's highly differentiated approach to public relations, positioning clients as 'thought leaders' and expert commentators on key issues of interest and concern to their target markets.

He has led public relations programmes for a variety of organisations, including The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Cavendish Asset Management, Scottish Amicable Investment Managers, the Voucher Association, the Business Services Association, MacIntyre Hudson (accountants/business advisers), Marks & Clerk (patent attorneys) and other legal clients.

David has also managed the growth of the Marketforce conference division which organises approximately 50 leading industry events a year in the UK and Continental Europe. David is responsible for the development of conference programmes on utilities, transport and media for the Institute of Economic Affairs, Adam Smith Institute and other leading bodies.

David was formerly an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve, commanding six Royal Navy ships - two patrol vessels and four minesweepers. He was awarded the Reserve Decoration in 1995.
